Taking Care of Those Who Take Care of Us

Making Change Possible

81s Heroes was formed in honor of our fallen hero, Sr. Patrolman Sherman O. Benys, Jr., KPD Badge No. 81, whom we lost in the line of duty on November 4, 2021.

The organization, 81s Heroes, was named to commemorate ALL those that were engaged on that catastrophic day. It is they who have given us the strength to continue to “Make It Happen.” They will Forever be 81s Heroes.

Recognizing the enormity of the challenges our Law Enforcement face daily, 81s Heroes is dedicated to making a lasting impact. 81s Heroes supports first responders in Kingsville, Texas and Kleberg County with equipment, training, counseling and other immediate financial hardships to ensure the community takes care of those taking care of them.
